Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (C-TPAT)
ConAgra Foods constantly strives to improve all aspects of our business operations, including the integration of our supply-chain business partners into our Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (C-TPAT) Program. To ensure the integrity of our products, ConAgra Foods has implemented a "field to fork" approach to supply-chain security, which includes all phases of both our international and domestic supply chains. By means of total commitment to worldwide supply-chain security, we intend to exceed customer expectations by eliminating tampering, contamination, theft and gray market diversion of ConAgra Foods products.
ConAgra Foods has been a certified C-TPAT company since 2003 and was recognized as a Tier III company following our validation in April 2005. In a continually progressive approach to program management, we not only expect our suppliers and service providers to demonstrate the same commitment to supply-chain security, but where they are not already C-TPAT certified by Customs, we ensure the implementation of minimum security requirements by processing our supply-chain business partners through a Web-based self-assessment followed by on-site C-TPAT security audits.
ConAgra Foods is dedicated to staying abreast of supply-chain security developments, including the Container Security Initiative (CSI) and the World Customs Organization (WCO) efforts to standardize supply-chain security requirements, bringing about reciprocal recognition of foreign supply-chain security programs, such as the Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) Programs. We believe being a Tier III validated company demonstrates good corporate citizenship but, more importantly, exhibits a sincere interest in the well-being of our customers.
