OMAHA, Neb., Dec. 14, 2012 – Slim Jim, a brand of ConAgra Foods, Inc. (NYSE: CAG) and presenting sponsor of WWE®’s annual holiday NBC special, “WWE Tribute to the Troops,” is inviting consumers to make their own tribute by dropping the troops a “thank you” at slimjim.com/troops. For every note of thanks left now through April 1, 2013, Slim Jim will donate a Slim Jim meat stick to the troops, with a goal of arming the armed forces with more than one million Slim Jim meat sticks*. These messages of gratitude and support will be printed on up to 500,000 personalized sleeves, each of which will carry one Slim Jim to its destination.
The “WWE Tribute to the Troops” holiday special, airing Saturday, Dec. 22 at 9 p.m. on NBC, recognizes servicemen and women for their commitment to the country and their sacrifices. In conjunction with the annual special, Slim Jim has kicked off its campaign to salute our armed services at slimjim.com/troops and facebook.com/slimjim.

Consumers have several ways to engage with the Tribute to the Troops program. Each week a randomly-selected individual’s message to the troops will be featured on the Slim Jim Facebook fan page. Slim Jim’s Facebook page will also feature behind-the-scenes interviews with WWE Superstars. The one-hour special “Tribute to the Troops” special on NBC will feature performances by Grammy Award-nominated, stars Kid Rock and Flo Rida, and WWE’s biggest Superstars and Divas for thousands of military personnel and their families.
*Slim Jim will donate up to $500,000 worth of product to the USO which amounts to more than 1,000,000 Slim Jims consisting of a combination of Giant Sticks, Monster Sticks and Snack Sticks.
